I have done over 3.000 airtightness tests (blower door tests) in different buildings in Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and also in eight buildings in China – about 10 to 15 percent of these measurements where done in combination with the thermography. I have a seat on the board of the FLiB (German Association for Airtightness in Buildings). I am referent for the Chamber of Crafts of Hamburg and I hold several speeches on different congresses in Europe. I am a trainer for beginners and experts in airtightness.
In 2003 I built a wooden passive house for my family. I planed it as a model home for building biology. There where no softener or other pollutants in the construction and the whole building is made from renewable material. With the PV on the roof, we produce more energy, than we use.
